Still much too hot for backyard practice. Zio and Luna get out for a walk every evening a round 9:00 pm as it becomes dark and it's still 95 degress out! I do play a few minutes of frisbee ocassionally, but I have to watch Zio's back legs now. When he goes to put the brakes on hard, he drags his legs. Not only has he been wearing the feathering off of his rear hocks, he has come away bleeding as the skin gets abrasions. I found a use for his Z-Skids though, because he now wears them on his rear legs to protect them from further injury.

Way Too Hot!!!
We are still on sabatical with backyard practice. Temperatures that remain in triple digits until after dark just aren't practical for practicing with a dog that would keep going until he collapsed with heat exhaustion. His turns were so-so at practice, with half of them looking good with the jumpboard and the knocking it over on the rest. We'll keep plugging away until he realizes that he needs to do it well in order to tug.
